Meet Dan DeWaal
If you’re at all familiar with personal finance expert, Dave Ramsey, you’ve most likely heard him say that winning with money is 80% behavior and 20% head knowledge. My wife and I can certainly attest to that. We’ve been on a slow and steady journey to financial freedom for almost 20 years. It’s not because we are finance experts (we’re not), but because we’ve followed Biblically based money principles with determination and perseverance.
I’ve worked in the financial services industry all my career and have read and conducted many research projects on personal and business finances. Money-related issues can cause so much stress, anxiety and tension within yourself, your spouse, your workplace, and the other relationships in your life.
One of the key observations that keeps sticking out to me is that people don’t know how to change their circumstances. They weren’t taught the proper principles of budgeting, saving, setting goals and creating a plan to achieve them. Kids, teens, and young adults aren’t being taught these principles either because their parents didn’t know any better. The cycle repeats and repeats.
I want to change that. I’m passionate about helping people reorient the trajectory of their lives. I believe when we win with our money, we honor God, our families, ourselves, and the legacy we leave behind. That’s what led me to go through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Coach Master Training program and why I started Honor Financial Coaching.
If you’re willing to put in the work, I’d be honored to walk along side you.
